DAILY DEVOTIONAL – Day 17

“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”

Dear St. Paul Community UMC,

In the wake of the shooting in Uvalde, Texas, I am sending letters to my Representatives in Congress. As a gun owner, I am asking them to do more to protect our children from violence.

More than 240 mass shootings have occurred this year in the United States. Thirty-three have taken place since the rampage at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas left nineteen children and two teachers dead on May 24th.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL – Day 13

Sheep are wayward creatures.  Some sheep get lost because they don’t pay attention to their surroundings.  They’re too busy focusing on their next meal.  Other sheep deliberately leave the flock.  They have a rebellious spirit that refuses to heed the shepherd’s call.
