Julie Shelton
Organist
 
Julie Shelton grew up in South Carolina, and she attended Columbia College, a Methodist Women’s College. She graduated with a double major in Piano Pedagogy and Church Music. Julie then moved to Cincinnati to attend The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she received a Master of Music degree in Organ Performance in 1994.
 
She settled in West Chester, where she lives with her husband David Corfman, and her two sons, Philipp and Erich. Julie maintains a home piano studio of 20 students, two of whom are her sons. She is an active accompanist for both professional and student instrumentalists.
 
Julie was previously the organist at The Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Middletown, and prior to that she was a substitute organist all over Cincinnati for many years.
 
Animal lovers, Julie and her family own a dog, a cat, and two dwarf bunnies. Julie is happy to be part of the Music Ministry at St. Paul UMC!
